HEY THERE, I'M EMILY!

The voice & heart behind Fablehound

After finishing grad school & hustling on the tour/summer theater circuit, I knew I wanted to use my creative skills in a way that better suited the life I wanted to live. I didn’t want to be at the mercy of other folks. I wanted a life marked by elbow room. Travel! Adventure! Freedom!

Enter voiceover work. I weaseled my way into an audition, quickly started booking, & before I knew it I was working as an audio engineer & hustling VO full time.

Fablehound, founded in 2020, is the culmination of all my skill, determination, & outright pluckiness. From its humble beginnings in a Chicago closet, Fablehound has grown into a booming creative enterprise, complete with two fully-equipped studios, countless commercial campaigns, & an ever-growing client base.

HERE ARE THE VALUES I BRING TO MY WORK:

My Values

    Unmatched Customer Service

I’m nothing if not a communicator, & every client who books with me has an inside lane to my best efforts in this regard. Whether we’re talking response time, understanding a project, navigating schedules, or anything else that might come up, know that you’ve got my full attention & effort at your disposal.

  • A woman stands in the back using a hose to put water in a dish with her tan and black mastiff dog standing in front of a homestead in Arkansas

    Hard Work

I have a 100% philosophy in my life; anything I set my hand to, I do it 100%. No lukewarm communication, no half-ass efforts. Lots of work, lots of play, lots of joy.

  • A view from behind of a woman using a laptop computer running ProTools audio workstation software

    Entrepreneurship

Building my business has truly been one of the great joys of my life. I know what it’s like to have that burning feeling in your gut that you’ve got to hustle on your own…& I know about the challenges that go with that, too. For me, that’s meant a full-on inundation into media buying, audio engineering, brand development, skill building, & the other myriad skills that solopreneurs have to have. If that’s you? Know that I get it, I’m hustling too, & I’ll meet you where you are.

    Elbow Room

I saved the best for last here. In everything I do, whether in business or in life, I’m pushing toward more freedom - more elbow room. For me, that means being my own boss, calling my own shots, & working with folks I want to work with.  For you, maybe that means finally finding talent that gets it; that can elevate the project or campaign you’ve already worked so hard on, & set you free to move on to your next big thing (which you can also call me about). If that sounds like you, I’m your girl.

WHERE I WORK

Homesteading in Arkansas (but still taking the show on the road!)

Fablehound started…in a closet. It was just a side hustle, a twinkle in my eye that suggested, maybe, I could tell stories in a way that people would find compelling (and eventually worth paying for).

Now, that closet is far behind me, but that twinkle has developed into a rock-solid conviction that storytelling is just as fundamental as I suspected, & more productive than I could’ve ever dreamed.

Since its official incorporation in 2020, Fablehound has evolved into a heavy-hitting creative business that's constantly movin' & shakin' in the field of voiceover. As the captain of this ship, I'm an excessively-trained actor who had the happy discovery that my skills as a performer could help me build my dream life.

My "home base" studio is located in Arkansas, where I grew up. The alignment of my skills with this profitable niche brought me back to this “home base” in many ways, whether we’re talkin’ property ownership, a borderline-obsessive venture into homesteading, a fully outfitted mobile recording studio, or the joyful opportunity to share adventure with my very favorite folks.

Curious about my home and mobile voiceover recording studios? Check out the Fablehound Studio Specs.
